Example 5: Dormer Extension

The client wished to develop their loftspace by adding dormer extensions. This was achieved using timber lattice beams, avoiding the need to remove the existing roof.

• Keskin Structural carried out the full structural design for a client's dormer extension.

• Use of a timber lattice beam structure was recommended.

• The existing roof was undisturbed as the lattice beam was built in-situ. Buildability and speed of construction were both greatly increased.
